What is Family Day Care?

Family day care is a quality home-based childcare service that's been actively helping Australian families for over 30 years. Family day care caters for young babies through to pre-teens and can offer care during standard hours, before/after school during school holidays and in some circumstances overnight and weekends.

The mian point of difference is the small group setting where each child is treated as an individual, and daily experiences are tailored to each child's developmental stages and interests.

It is a child care service registered with the Child Care Licensing Board to provide care for children from 0 to 12 years old. Family Day Carers work in partnership with the Family Day Care Scheme with trained staff to provide you with the assistance you need in child development and running a business.

How many children can I have?

You can have 7 children with at least one child attending a pre-school and 2 school aged.

Flexiblity

You can choose the hours and days you like to operate your business and the fees you like to charge. Child Care Benefits are available for suitable clients.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Start up funding for FDC

$1500 is available for new family day carers by the Department of families, community services and indigenous affairs.

New Enterprise Incentive Scheme
